Peter Holiday first formed Peterpans Adventure Travel & Pioneered the so called Package Deal out of Byron Bay for backpackers, Pete's famous words were " fighting for a fair deal for the traveller"- he's a visionary guy who loves the industry.
In 2001, Pete and Phil pioneered Rainbow Beach, a small town on the fringe of Fraser Island, together they put the town on the map and built a mega hostel, which today is a strong destination for backpackers.The story continued as Phil and Pete went into partnership with another young guy from Byron Bay, Between the 3 of them, they took Peterpans to a new level in shop outlets around Australia, It wasn't long before the 3 at the helm didn't work as each had their own vision, Peter left Peterpan's and started a franchised backpacker travel agency by the name of Tribal Travel.
Phil was soon to follow suit seeing the direction of Peterpan's heading in a different direction, believing that the backpacker market should remain unique and independent.
Phil Staley is once again linked with Peter Holiday in Tribal Travel and both have the same vision for the industry, They are passionate about mentoring young people into their own businesses, Both bring wealth of business and travel knowledge to the backpacker Industry.
They remain on the cutting edge of understanding the travelers needs as both have run and own private businesses in this industry, Tribal Franchises are growing strong with new shops opening in new exciting locations.
Peter is a visionary person with great ideas for new Australian Adventure products, Phil sees structure and stability within the company as his main focus, he's also focused on the core website development and mentors young people into positions of success, Phil's son, Andy Staley spent many years with Peterpans Adventure Travel as a sales consultant and branch manager, he's now in charge of web development and products for Tribal Travel.
Pete and Phil believe in free enterprise and will continue to fight for a fair deal for the traveller as well as make sure that the traveller is well informed and given a great deal for their money with great products.
