Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island, located on the southern coast of Queensland, situated 300km north of Brisbane. stretching 123 Kilometres long with an exuberant amount of freshwater lakes, pristine rainforests, streams, creeks plenty of sand dunes & famous ship wrecks.
You have the option to take a guided tour, self guided tour (which are pre-organised by several companies) or simply hire your own vehicle.
Fraser Island has 2 access points which are a short ferry ride from Rainbow Beach & Hervey Bay, tours depart from Rainbow Beach, Hervey Bay, Goldcoast, Brisbane & Noosa.
Fraser Island offers both camping and accommodation on the island with several camp grounds and resorts situated a short stroll to the beach.
